What are Peninsular Rivers?

Peninsular rivers originate from the Deccan Plateau in South India. These rivers are mainly rain-fed and are seasonal in nature.

  • Godavari

Godavari River

  • Origin: Trimbakeshwar (Maharashtra)
  • Second longest river in India
